Admission Letters for the 2013-2014 school year were sent to the homes of prospective students wishing to enter Grades 5-9 the week of February 4, 2013.

Each year, the response target for notification of admission to grade 9 is the end of January and the response target for notification of admission for grades 5-8 is the end of February.  The school district works as quickly as possible to review admissions critieria, but also works diligiently to make sure all student review folders are complete before notifications take place.

Forms for Admissions:

Download the Release of Information form (asks your child's current school to forward his/her cumulative records).

Download the Teacher Recommendation form (for your child's teacher to fill out and return to City Honors).

*Please note: Families relocating to the City of Buffalo from outside of Western New York with interest in admissions to City Honors and any other criterion based schools in the Buffalo Public Schools, may contact Director of Student Placement, Mrs. Jacqueline Ross Brown, at 716.816.3717.
