Fast Facts

Over 35 clubs and extra curricular activities-from African Dance, American Field Service (AFS) and Amnesty International to Ski Club, Student Council and Yearbook. Band, Chorus and Orchestra are available as well as participation in a Musical each year.

    Spring: Softball, Baseball, Track, Tennis, Crew, Rugby

Class Rank / Academic Honors: Class Rank is not computed by City Honors School nor do we designate Honor or Merit Roll Students. There is no National Honor Society at City Honors School. Academic awards are presented at Graduation.

Recent Distinctions: Number 8 on the Newsweek list of top1,000 public high schools in the Nation; Named one of the top 50 public feeder high schools in the nation by Worth Magazine; Named top High School and Middle School in Western New York by Business First; National Merit Semi-finalists 5; National Achievement Semi-finalist: 1; Hispanic Recognition Honorable Mention: 1; National Merit Commended Students: 6; AP Scholars: 26; AP Scholars with Honors: 14; AP Scholars with Distinction: 5
