Advanced Placement

The Advanced Placement (AP) courses enable our students to engage in college-level work while still in high school. AP courses offer greater opportunity for individual progress and accomplishment while affording the challenge to explore subjects in greater depth. They also allow students to gain college credit as determined by the individual colleges and universities.

There is a fee for each test taken. Fee waivers are available to qualified students through the Guidance office.

The following AP examinations are offered at City Honors in May each year:

English Language and Composition; English Literature; World History; US History; US Government and Politics; Macroeconomics; Microeconomics; Calculus AB; Calculus BC; Statisitics; Biology; Physics; Environmental Science; French Language; Spanish Language; Music Theory; Studio Art; Psychology
